Scripture Union Honduras (SUH) is a non-profit Christian organization that is part of Scripture Union International (SUI). As a national movement,its commitment is to the objectives of the declaration of faith and the working principles of SU International. Therefore it has autonomy to develop its ministry and government in the most appropriate way within the Honduran context.
Mission
Scripture Union Honduras exist to encourage people of all ages to meet with God daily through Bible reading and prayer,so we can reach a practical and personal faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.
Vision
Scripture Union Honduras sees children,youth and families reaching a personal faith with our Lord Jesus Christ,growing in spiritual maturity and becoming faithful members of the local church and servants of a world in need.
Core Values
Focus on the daily practice of prayer: We believe that the best way to encourage others to meet with God is through our own encounter with Him through prayer.
Focus on the daily reading of the Word of God: We believe that Bible reading is the most effective way to reach spiritual maturity.
Love and commitment to the local church: We recognize that we belong to the universal family of God and therefore we make an effort to work with different denominations without interfering doctrinal subjects.
Respect to the local culture without compromising the gospel: We work in different contexts and we show respect for the authorities,cultural and local traditions of the area and for their ideas.
Service to our neighbor: We believe that God has called us to love and serve children,youth and families,attending their needs wherever they are.
Focus on the vulnerable groups: We recognize that Jesus teaches us to care for the widow,the orphans,the poor and the outcast.

Honesty: We make a special emphasis on the transparent management of funds and recourses that are entrusted to us to carry out the work that God has given us,investing them with austerity and efficiency.
